#MIKidsCan Play like a Lion Challenge Week 2!

| 3 min read

BCBSM has partnered with the Detroit Lions Play 60 campaign to encourage kids to be active for 60 minutes a day to help reverse the trend of childhood obesity.
The #MIKidsCan Play like a Lion Challenge can help keep kids active this summer while giving them a look at what it’s like to be a professional athlete. Plus, families have a chance to win some great prizes!

Now through Aug. 2, kids ages 6 to 12 (supervised by a parent or guardian), can sign up for the challenge by making the pledge at www.ahealthiermichigan.org/MIKidsCan.
Ten winners will be selected to receive a VIP experience for themselves and a friend at Ford Field when the Detroit Lions take on the New York Jets on Aug. 13. Winners will have a chance to go on the field for an exclusive pre-game workout session with Detroit Lions trainers and staff, before the 7:30 p.m. game. The experience also includes admission to a special autograph session with a Detroit Lions player, participation in the fan tunnel experience prior to the game, three tickets to the game and more.
By making the #MIKidsCan Play like a Lion pledge, kids agree to join our team and aim to complete a series of fun and healthy activities each week. Ready to make the pledge?

Week 2: Throw like a Lion!

Kids, grab a friend or family member and toss a ball around for 30 minutes each day this week (don’t forget your other 30 minutes of being active, too!).
Watch the video below to see our friends Coach Chris Fritzsching, Roary and the #MIKidsCan ambassadors tell you more about how to Throw like a Lion.
Teamwork is a valuable lesson to learn on and off the field; it’s what helps the Detroit Lions play their best. Click here to take the pledge and register to win. Check back next week for more details about the next challenge.
