FAQ
1. What can I use if I can't find a bitter orange aperitivo alternative? Look for other non-alcoholic aperitif-style beverages with citrus and botanical flavors. If needed, you can create a similar flavor profile using a combination of orange juice, a splash of grapefruit juice and sparkling water, though the drink will be less bitter than a traditional spritz.
2. Can I make a pitcher of this mocktail for a party? Combine the aperitivo alternative and non-alcoholic sparkling wine ahead of time, then add sparkling water and ice just before serving to maintain the drink's carbonation.
3. What foods pair well with an alcohol-free Italian spritz? This mocktail pairs beautifully with light appetizers such as olives, roasted nuts, bruschetta, grilled vegetables, seafood dishes and summer salads, making it a great choice for outdoor gatherings and happy hours.
