How to Stay Safe in the Snow this Winter

Whether you find it frightful or delightful, winter weather is here. With it comes the potential for slippery and dangerous roads, frigid temperatures and inches of snow to shovel. Read up on how to avoid common calamities this season.
- Proceed with caution on icy, snowy roads. Snow and ice are beautiful, but driving through inclement weather can be hazardous. More than 116,000 people are injured in the U.S. every year due to car crashes during snowy, slushy and icy conditions. Before you even head out on the road, pack a winter emergency kit in case you become stranded or are involved in a crash.
