The Couch Potato Workout Plan

Put down that remote! Instead of flipping through channels or fast-forwarding commercials, take advantage of the two-minute breaks and give your body a jolt of exercise. Since most half-hour shows have around 8 minutes of ads, we put together four two-minute workouts that will get you burning calories and toning your total body.
Commercial Break #1: Cardio
Jumping jacks for 30 seconds
Jump rope for 30 seconds (If you don’t have a jump rope, just mimic the movement.)
High knees – 30 seconds
Butt kickers– 30 seconds
Jumping jacks for 30 seconds
Jump rope for 30 seconds (If you don’t have a jump rope, just mimic the movement.)
High knees – 30 seconds
Butt kickers– 30 seconds
Commercial Break #2: Lower body
20 air squats
20 walking lunges (10 with each leg)
Wall sit for 30 seconds
20 air squats
20 walking lunges (10 with each leg)
Wall sit for 30 seconds
Commercial Break #4: Upper body
10 pushups
15 triceps dips
Side plank for 30 seconds on each side
10 pushups
15 triceps dips
Side plank for 30 seconds on each side
