On January 25th, 2014, St. Cecilia Music Center in downtown Grand Rapids will play host to the inaugural Whole U GR Expo. The Expo runs from 10am to 4pm and incorporates the body, mind, spirit, and living holistically. Tickets are available for only $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
Whole U GR will showcase local, holistic health experts and seminars to provide inspiration and education for a healthy 2014. Co-Founder of Whole U GR Martha Cudlipp, anticipates an impressive turnout at the Expo, as it is the first of its kind in Grand Rapids. “St. Cecilia offers the perfect, intimate setting for this kind of event and we have many superior health and nutrition businesses in Grand Rapids to showcase,” explains Cudlipp.
The goal, and part of the idea behind making the Expo come to life, is to inform the community about taking small steps to improve the mind, body, and soul. It’s about eating right, living holistically, and enriching both lives and the environment. As Cudlipp notes, “It’s not just about a holistic individual, it’s about a holistic Grand Rapids.”
While the list is still growing for Whole U GR, we can expect exhibitors and vendors to include: Doorganics, SIP Organic Juice Bar, Everbest Organics, WOTV 4, Get Waisted, various chiropractors, acupuncture specialists, local health experts and advocates, holistic pet health experts, and much more.
“The Expo stands apart with the local intimacy feel, which makes it less overwhelming. We want people to feel like they are walking into someone’s home and having a one-on-one health and wellness conversation with the experts,” says Cudlipp.
She also notes, “it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to live healthfully. We are hoping to expose participants to healthy living, as even small changes can have a large impact. [This event] will represent what a health-focused person could be looking for, all in a very welcoming environment.”
