eggnog
With the holiday season upon us, you expect to see cartons of eggnog filling up the dairy aisle at your local grocery store. It’s difficult to pass up this delicious holiday treat when I see it while shopping. That cup of creamy eggnog seems to evoke that familiar feeling of Christmas like no other beverage.
But as we know, eggnog is filled not only with amazing flavor, but calories — hundreds of them! So even though I may pass on purchasing a carton when I’m shopping, it does not mean that I can’t enjoy a creamy cup of this holiday treat at home. All I have to do is mix up some of my own eggnog in my kitchen. This allows me to reduce the calorie content immensely and leaves me feeling guilt free.
I’ll share two of my favorite eggnog recipes to help you indulge your holiday spirit and please your calorie-conscious but decadence-seeking party guests.
